Mrs. Carlson graduated from Roger Williams University with a degree in Elementary Education and Mathematics. She is currently enrolled in Boston College's Executive Leadership Program. She became a teacher because she wanted to make a difference in a child’s life. She was our Middle School Math teacher for 18 years before becoming principal in 2023.
There are many things that Mrs. Carlson loves about Our Lady of Mount Carmel School. First, is the school’s Catholic identity and its devotion to Mary. The other thing that she loves most about OLMC is the sense of community and family among the faculty, staff, and students.
She has participated in five NEASC accreditation visiting teams, and was also the coordinator for the school’s re-evaluation for NEASC in 2009 and 2019.
Mrs. Carlson lives in Riverside with her husband and two children. She enjoys reading, the beach, and spending time with her family!
