Education is progressive and the elementary grades continue to support students’ emerging 21st-century skills that are introduced in the early elementary grades. Students continue to learn in a rich and supportive environment where they can achieve their potential. Teachers work to meet the individual needs of each child. Frequent communication with families helps to ensure that parents, students, and teachers are on the same page regarding each child's progress.
Their enthusiasm for learning is supported throughout the curriculum and project-based tasks. Daily instruction in all subjects builds a strong foundation for the upcoming middle school years.
While we know that a strong background in the Humanities (language arts and social studies) is important, science and technology are woven throughout the curriculum to provide a well-rounded educational experience. Students complete experiments or participate in demonstrations that bring science concepts to life. Teachers also integrate activities that encourage "out-of-the-box" thinking skills and cooperation, like cup stacking challenges, that get students thinking, interacting, and loving learning!
